Kittens - 3 weeks

These photos were taken at the end of last week.

The kittens are now trying to escape from their box. They keep hopping around their box like little bunnies and are beginning to be really playful.

I don't know how we're going to be able to give them up!

Can somebody teach me?

I work in a craft shop. My own business is all about making handmade items. There aren't many crafts that I can say I haven't done.

Crochet is different. Normally I'll just try something if I want a go. This is different.

All those letters, numbers and diagrams - they really confuse me. But who wouldn't want to be able to make these...

Can somebody teach me please?!

Notonthehighstreet.com

For those of your who haven't been checking out my Twitter posts over there on the right. Altered Chic joined the wondeful world of Notonthehighstreet.com!

You can take a look at my pages here.

We'll be stocking homeware and gifts - candles, soaps, bunting, letters, notice boards and much more. Most of the items will be exclusive to NOTHS but as usual you can buy many other items on the website over at Altered Chic or at our local craft fairs.

The Indie Biz class is also well underway and bringing lots of exciting ideas to the surface. Hopefully I'll be able to share a few of these soon!

Aren't they just adorable! They are just trying to find their feet at the moment.

Edinburgh 2010

It's been a couple of years since we were last in Edinburgh and we'd really missed the city. It's our favourite place in the UK. It was our first home together and for that reason it will always special. It was pretty awesome to be able to go back for a few days to visit and actually learn some things about the place we love.

We did all the touristy things - visit the castle, walk round the city on a tour, visit the vaults, walk round the botanical gardens. The weather even stayed dry for us!

Here are just a couple of the photos I took (there are lots and lots more lol). They were both taken whilst we were on the walking tour on Saturday.

I love Edinburgh's architecture. The detailing on the buildings and I love this Victoria Street in particular. The mix of colours against the beautiful buildings. How I would love to have a little store on a street like that! Just a shame about the building works going on lol.

This shot is one of the castle. We'd never been up to the castle before last weekend and we kind of shocked to see all the different buildings from the different periods. It's well worth the visit!
